(Remember? The time when Brexit was all everyone talked about and we hadn’t even heard of Wuhan, let alone Coronavirus!) …
Well, since then, Mgenious has been managing and carrying out a large-scale deployment of Office365 and Teams, combined with the distribution of new devices and execution of a user adoption strategy.
Since the beginning of this memorable year we have, obviously, witnessed extraordinary changes in so many aspects of our lives. Some of these will be forgotten and go back to pre-lockdown ways, but the disruption will have caused many things to change forever, no doubt.
The organisation we have been working with delivers essential public services and is critical to the Covid-19 response. As such, the employees are ‘key workers’, so the importance of enabling them to keep working and gravity of the situation was immense.
“A challenge”, you might say, to deliver an IT Transformation in these circumstances, which was further enhanced by the scepticism of the employees in how Teams and technology could help them.
When we started the project in January, as part of a complete hardware refresh to new laptops, a classroom style approach of orienting users was developed, to empower employees and build their confidence.
Then BAM! The world turned upside as soon as CV19 hit.
So, everything stopped, and it was back to the drawing board. What to do next?
Mgenious worked with the client to develop a strategy that complied with social distancing regulations – a complete no touch deployment – embracing the technology available to us within the Microsoft Cloud environment to deliver 1 to 1 training and orientation.
A blueprint for the future? We think so.
Would you like to discuss how a no touch device deployment or system upgrade will work for you?
Have you implemented Microsoft Teams for video conferences, but haven’t yet explored what else the platform can do?
Could your organisation benefit from our experience?
If the answer is YES to any of the above, please get in touch via the website.
Please also complete our survey as we are conducting market research, which we will analyse then publish to responders.
Many Thanks .... and Stay Safe!
